Benchtop Particle Counter

Deiiang benchtop particle counters are built for rooms that must be classified, not just spot checked. Six channels, on-board UCL, audit trail and printer on every model, in 2.83 and 28.3 L/min versions.

Need a benchtop particle counter solution?

Our professional team will provide you with customized benchtop particle counter solutions to meet your specific needs.

Types Of Deiiang Benchtop Particle Counters

Five benchtop models share one optical platform, so the choice comes down to sample volume and record keeping: 2.83 L/min for fixed monitoring points, 28.3 L/min for room classification, and Part 11 instrumentation where an inspector signs the record.

Large-flow 28.3 L/min benchtop

Standard 2.83 L/min benchtop

The 2.83 L/min benchtop is the one that lives on a bench next to a filling line or an isolator. Sampling points are fixed, the run is a few minutes each, and the printed slip goes straight into the batch file. Six channels, 100,000 records and 300 stored UCL sets mean a Grade C or D room can be re-evaluated months later without resampling. What it will not do is classify a large room quickly: one cubic foot takes about 21 minutes.

Large-flow 28.3 L/min benchtop

The 28.3 L/min version pulls ten times the air per minute, which is the difference between a monitoring round and a classification survey that finishes in a shift. Grade verdicts come out against both ISO 14644-1 and EU GMP Annex 1 limits, and the internal battery carries it through a room with no socket. If your work is a handful of fixed points, the extra throughput is capacity you will rarely use.

Industry Applications

Deiiang benchtop particle counter in Pharmaceutical & Biologics

Pharmaceutical & Biologics

Aseptic suites run on Annex 1 paperwork. A benchtop cleanroom particle counter sits beside the filling line, samples the critical zone on schedule and prints the record the batch file needs.

Semiconductors & Electronics

Fab particle budgets are tight and drift shows up in yield first. Our benchtop counters hold fixed monitoring positions around process tools and flag a shift after maintenance, before wafers are lost.

Deiiang benchtop particle counter in Hospitals & Operating Rooms

Hospitals & Operating Rooms

Theatre ventilation is verified on a schedule, not during a case. A compact benchtop unit classifies the room, checks the ceiling diffuser and keeps a log for the infection control file.

Deiiang benchtop particle counter in Medical Devices & Diagnostics

Medical Devices & Diagnostics

Sterile assembly rooms need a monitoring record that survives an audit. Deiiang benchtops log operator, limits and calibration date, and the data cannot be edited afterwards.

Deiiang benchtop particle counter in Food & Beverage Processing

Food & Beverage Processing

Aseptic filling enclosures are re-verified after CIP and before the next run. A 28.3 L/min benchtop gets through the grid quickly enough to fit inside the production window.

Put the B310 on the Grade B line and it has not been switched off since. The electronic signature was the part our auditor actually asked about, and it was already there.

Dr. Ines Hollmann

Solid build. The printer is louder than I expected, but the slips save a lot of typing.

Ravi Menon

We classify six rooms twice a year. With the 28.3 L/min unit the whole job is now one long day instead of three, battery carried us through the last room where the sockets are locked out.

Gareth Pryce

Ordered the B320 for our reference bench. Flow holds at 28.3 even with a loaded filter, which was the reason we replaced the old one.

Yuki Tanabe

Took a while to get used to the UCL menu, support walked me through it on a call. Fine after that.

Daniel Okafor

The audit trail keeps the operator name and the limit set used, so our QA no longer rebuilds the report by hand.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the difference between a benchtop and a handheld particle counter?

A handheld is carried from point to point and runs on a battery; a benchtop stays where the sampling points are and usually has a larger display, a printer and a fuller audit trail. The measurement principle is the same, so the difference is workflow and record keeping rather than accuracy.

Should I buy the 2.83 L/min or the 28.3 L/min benchtop model?

If you monitor a handful of fixed points, 2.83 L/min is enough and cheaper to run. If you classify rooms to ISO 14644-1, the 28.3 L/min version samples one cubic foot in about two minutes instead of twenty-one, which is usually the deciding factor.

Can a benchtop particle counter be used for formal ISO 14644-1 certification?

Yes. The standard sets a minimum sample volume per point and a minimum number of points, and both are met more easily at 28.3 L/min. What matters is that the instrument has a current ISO 21501-4 calibration certificate.

What does 21 CFR Part 11 mean on a particle counter?

It means the records carry an operator identity and an electronic signature, changes are appended rather than overwritten, and the audit trail cannot be deleted from the instrument. The B310 and B330 are built for that.

How long does the battery last on a benchtop unit?

Around four hours on the internal pack for the 28.3 L/min models, which covers most single-room surveys. For a full day of classification, plan a charge between rooms or run on mains where a socket is available.

Where should the sampling probe be placed during classification?

At the height where the product or the critical activity happens, with the probe pointed into the airflow and the tubing kept as short as practical. Sample the specified number of points, then let the instrument calculate the UCL and the grade.

How to choose Benchtop Particle Counter?

1

Flow Rate

A 2.83 L/min benchtop is enough for fixed monitoring points. Choose 28.3 L/min when the job is ISO 14644-1 classification and the grid has to finish in a shift.

2

Number of Points

Below ten sampling points the standard asks for 95% UCL instead of an average. Check the counter calculates it on board rather than in a spreadsheet afterwards.

3

Record Keeping

Decide whether a printed slip is enough or you need an audit trail with user levels. Regulated manufacturing usually means Part 11 signatures.

4

Screen and Verdict

A grade verdict on screen saves a calculation at every point. If operators wear gloves, check that the touchscreen responds through them.

5

Power

Rooms are often locked out during a survey. An internal battery of around four hours removes the extension-lead problem.

6

Interfaces

Ethernet or USB export matters if records go into a LIMS. Ask for the file format before you buy, not after.

7

Calibration and Service

Insist on an ISO 21501-4 certificate against PSL spheres, and ask what the annual turnaround looks like.
